BIZBASH ENHANCES PARTNERSHIP WITH ENVENTU

Acclaimed media brand partners with event industry organization for youth workforce development programs and more

Matt Johnson, President of BizBash—the No. 1 event industry resource—announced today that the company will deepen its relationship with EnventU through a long-term campaign designed to create a pipeline to professions™ in the event and meeting industry.

“During our pilot program years we have been creating an interactive curriculum that maintains industry standards at the high school level. In response to COVID, the creation and launch of EnventU Digital will push the energy of live events through the screen and directly to our students. Despite the current situation, we’re ready to take things to the next level with the help of BizBash and our fantastic industry partners” stated Founder and Executive Director, Latoya Lewis.

The enhanced relationship will include three phases, the first launching on Giving Tuesday (December 1, 2020) as EnventU is named an official nonprofit organization endorsed and supported by BizBash:

PHASE I: EMPOWER

  • Giving Tuesday Campaign
  • Champion Funding Campaign to Support EnventU Digital
  • Endorse Employee-Employer Match Program
  • Launch Industry Inclusion Investment Pledge
  • Support the DC Career Academy Network (DC CAN) and Career & Technical Education (CTE) Program

PHASE II: ENGAGE

  • Connect Professionals in the Classroom to Enhance Student’s Learning Experience
  • Provide Student Work Opportunities through the Pop-Up Workforce™  Program
  • Share Real-World Event Production Experiences to Qualify Capstone Projects

PHASE III: ELEVATE

  • Build Industry Community to Create Accountability around Shared DNI Values
  • Host Quarterly Connects with Pledge Participants

For the past 5 years, BizBash Chairman and Founder David Adler has been the Chair of EnventU, partnering on initiatives to develop and inspire youth living in marginalized communities and provide hands-on experience in event production, audiovisual and lighting production, decor, and catering.

According to Adler, “I was absolutely awestruck when EnventU Founder Latoya Lewis told me how her organization unlocks the power of event organizing as a leadership and empowerment tool, especially for inner city youth. I can’t think of any other experiential learning activity that teaches so much and introduces an entire generation to what many of us accidentally stumbled into as a career.”
