Dana Macaulay, CSEP is the 2020-2021 International President on the Board of Governors of the International Live Events Association (ILEA). ILEA advances the live events industry by creating an inclusive global community dedicated to personal and business development, and inspiration to elevate all professionals engaged in live events. Dana has been an ILEA member since 2005, first serving on her local ILEA Napa-Sonoma Chapter Board, followed by International Committee positions and as the ILEA Western Region Vice President, and has served on the ILEA International Board of Governors since 2015.
Based the heart of wine country, Dana Macaulay, CSEP is the Managing Director of Sonoma County Auctions at Sonoma County Vintners. With over 15 years of experience in Experiential Marketing and Event Production, Dana’s passion is for developing strategic initiatives which have included designing new winery event programs and launching the inaugural Sonoma County Barrel Auction in 2015, a trade-focused auction of highly collectable wine futures which has become an annual signature event, raising over $3.8 million to date to support Sonoma County marketing initiatives.
Dana Macaulay, CSEP also runs the Sonoma County Wine Auction, which has been named one of the top charitable US wine auctions by Wine Spectator, raising over $37 million to date to support non-profit organizations across the region. The Sonoma County Wine Auction brings together the industry’s generous winemakers, celebrity chefs and philanthropic guests who bid on the region’s top wines, once-in-a-lifetime experiences, and donate much needed funds that make a powerful impact on the lives of those in the county who are most in need. Proceeds raised fund charitable organizations focusing on education, health & human services, the environment, and arts & culture.
Both Sonoma County Auctions were pivoted to engaging online and virtual programming for 2020.
