What was the most memorable event you’ve worked on?
This is tough but I would have to say leading the event at the White House for Pope Francis in 2015.
What was the AHA Moment that made you love events?
This is tough. I think it is easy to say a White House moment, but I would say when I had a brunch event at my house for President Obama’s inauguration in 2009. It was freezing outside and no one had tickets so we had a gathering in Philadelphia. We had a blast with the food names, decor and just being together.
Any advice for up-and-coming event pros?
Take it one step at a time. Literally, one step at a time. Put your own spin on the event. Do the crazy idea. Don’t compare yourself to other planners who have more experience. We all started out with our first event. Things will go wrong - stay calm and breathe.
